Nexus og HM prjón

Um daginn fór ég í bókabúðina Nexus sem er uppáhaldsbókabúðin mín í Reykjavík. 

The other day I went to the bookstore Nexus, wich is by the way my favorite bookstore in Reykjavík.

  

 Þar er úrval af handavinnubókum sem eru öðruvísi en í öðrum bókabúðum.
There is a range of handicraft books witch are different than the selection in other bookstores.

 Þar fékk ég þessa dásamlegu heklbók. Hún gengur út á þessa dúkku sem myndin er af og allskonar handa henni, föt og hlutir. Og myndirnar, dásamlegar.
There I got this wonderful crochet book. In the book is a girl I will someday crochet and lots of clothes and other items for her. And the pictures, lovely.

 Svo er það HM peysan sem varð að vera þannig að ég get prjónað hana án þess að þurfa að horfa á hana þegar ég prjóna.
Then there is the world champion sweater I decided to knit while watching the games. It had to be rather easy to knit so I can knit and watch the tv.

 Ég valdi peysu úr prjónablaðinu Ýr nr. 55.
I decided to knit a sweater from Sandnes yarn.

 Ég breytti henni reyndar þannig að ég prjóna hana í hring og ætla að klippa upp því ég vil ekki láta hana rúlla til hliðanna. Svo er ég að hugsa um að hekla í klippta kantinn (steeking) og sauma síðan fallegt skáband inn í hana. 
  I did change the pattern so I knit it in circle in stead of flat. Then I'm going to steek it and sew some nice looking band into it so the edges will not roll out like seen in the picture.

Svo er bara að prjóna. Áfram Þýskaland.
And then there is some knitting to do. Go Germany
