Margt klárað árið 2018

Það var mjög marg sem ég kláraði árið 2019. Hér á eftir sést eitthvað af því.

Klárað prjón

Fyrir jól prjónaði ég nokkrar jólagjafir.

Pabbi minn hefur verið svo duglegur að fara út að ganga með hund sem er á heimilinu. Þegar allir eru í burtu langan vinnu- og skóladag, kemur hann og fer út með hundinn fyrir okkur.

Ég ákvað að prjóna á hann hlýja og fallega peysu. Þessi varð fyrir valinu og fannst mér hún koma mjög vel út. Munstrið er fallegt og skemmtilegt að prjóna það. 

Hægt að finna uppskriftina að peysunni hér. 

 Einnig gerði ég sjal sem ég gaf í jólagjöf. Það er frekar fínlegt og með gatamunstrinu verður það dáldið blúndulegt.

Norsk ullarpeysa

Ég kláraði þessa peysu núna í janúar. Hún er prjónuð úr Sisu frá Sandnes garni og á prjóna númer 2,5 og 3.

I finished this sweater (genser) in January. I used Sisu from Sandnes to knit it from and knitting needles no 2,5 and 3.

Það var ansi seinlegt að prjóna hana. Hún er mikið munstruð en þó bara tvíbanda munstur sem betur fer.
It took 2 years to knit it with some resting time in between. It has a lot of pattern in it but fortunately only with 2 colors.

Eiginmaðurinn fékk peysuna. Það tók tvö ár að prjóna hana neð hléum. Reyndar gekk illa með ermarnar og prjónaði ég þær tæplega fimm sinnum. Fyrst voru þær of þröngar, svo gleymdi ég efri hluta munstursins neðst á annarri erminni en að lokum hafðist þetta.
My husband got the sweater when I finally finished it. The sleeves took the longest time to knit because I knitted them nearly five times. First they were too narrow, then I forgot the part of the pattern on one sleeve, but finally they were ready.

Munstrið er fegnið úr hefti frá Sandnes garni sem ég keypti í Osló. Mér finnst vanta að hægt sé að kaupa þessi hefti hér á landi því það er takmarkað hverjar af uppskriftunum frá Sandnes birtast í prjónablaðinu Ýr.  Mér finnst gaman að prjóna norskar peysur en það hefur verið frekar lítið úrval af þeim í blöðunum að mínu mati.
The pattern is in a issue from Sandnes yarn that I bought in Oslo. I enjoy knitting Norwegian sweaters but it has been rather small selection of sweater patterns in the knitting magazine that are published in Iceland. So it is a knitting feast when I go to Oslo.

Sóleyjarpeysa

Í mars ákvað ég að prjóna eitt stykki norska barnapeysu handa systurdóttur minni. Systir mín keypti garnið og ég prjónaði.

In March, I decided to knit a Norwegian children sweater for my niece. My sister bought the yarn and I knitted.

 Ótrúlega góður díll fyrir króníska prjónakonu. Uppskriftin kemur úr Prjónablaðinu Ýr.

  A very good deal for a chronic knitter like me.  The pattern comes from Sandnes Garn.

Markmiðið var að klára hana fyrir 17. júní. Ég náði því þó svo að ég afhenti hana ekki fyrr en 17. júní.

The goal was to finish it by June 17. That day is the national day of Iceland. I finished it at the right time although I did not give it to her until June 17.

 Það sést ekki á myndunum en ég ákvað að prjóna silfurþráð með hvíta garninu því dömunni langað að hafa silfur í peysunni og að sjálfsögðu verður maður við þannig óskum. 

It does not show in the pictures, but I decided to knit the white yarn with silver thread because the little lady wanted to have some silver in her cardigan and of course the big niece fulfills the wishes the little niece has.

 Einnig vildi hún hafa "hot pink" í peysunni sinni svo ég ákvað að prjóna hálsmálið með þeim lit.
Also she would have some hot pink in the cardigan so I decided to knit the collar with that color.

Það kom ágætlega að hafa hálsmálið í sama lit og munstrið því bleiku litirnir kallast á og hálsmálið dregur bleika litinn í munstrinu fram. 

It was nice to have the collar in the same color as in the pattern because the hot pink colors work nicely together.

Enn að prjóna

þó minna hafi farið fyrir því undarfarið. Ég byrjaði í stærðfræðinámi í haust og það tekur ansi mikið af frítímanum.

I´m still knitting but less than before. I started studying mathematics in the fall and it takes a lot of my spare time and therefor there is less time to knit or crochet.

Þessa peysu er ég alveg að klára. Hún er með háum rúllukraga og því nauðsynlegt að fella af með lausri affellingu.

I have almost finish this sweater. It has a high collar so it is necessary to bind off with very loose cast off.

Prjónað

Í sumar hefur ýmislegt verið á prjónunum.

This summer I have been knitting this and that.

 Ég byrjaði á norskri ullarpeysu úr Sisu á eiginmannin og mjakast hún áfram. Það er ansi seinlegt að prjóna svona stóra peysu á litla prjóna. Munstrið er fengið úr Prjónablaðinu Ýr.

I started a Norwegian sweater knitted in Sisu wich is a wool yarn from Sandnes yarn. The pattern is from Sandnes yarn to. The work goes slowly because it takes long time to knit a big sweater with small knitting needles. 

 Haustboðinn frá Rowna kom í hús. Mér finnst þetta eitt fallegasta blaðið frá þeim í mörg ár. Það er alveg fullt af peysum og trefill sem mig langar að prjóna í blaðinu.

The autumn came from Rowan with one the most beautiful knitting magazine for the last few years. There are some number of sweaters and a scarf that I would like to knit that are in the magazine.

 Svo tók ég að sjálfsögðu þátt í litabókaæðinu sem kom í sumar og keypti mér eina sem inniheldur skordýr. Mér leist ekki á öll laufblöðin í Secret garden bókinni.

I did, of course, buy an coloring book like so many this summer. The one I bought are with insect because I know I would not have the patient to color all the leaves in the Secret garden book.

 Ég heklaði dúk úr garnafgöngum sem ég var búin að eiga lengi og vissi aldrei hvað ég átti að gera við. Þetta var hrúga af litlum bómullarhnyklum. Ég notaði helkunál nr. 5 og fitjaði upp lykkjur sem mér fannst hæfa borðinu og heklaði síðan þar til allir hnyklarnir klárðuðust. 

I did crochet a table runner from yarn stash that I had had for a long time and did not know what to do with. This was a heap of small balls of cotton yarn. I used crochet needle no. 5 and did cast on enough stitches to fit the table and then I did crochet until all the yarn was finished. 

 Það nýjasta sem ég kláraði eru þessir ullarsokkar. Ég gerði þá úr afgöngum og prjónaði þá á prjóna nr. 3,5. 

The latest thing I finished are those woollen socks. I knitted them from wool scraps and I think they came out nicely. 

Kláruð verkefni

Það sem af er ári er ég búin að klára 3 prjónaverkefni og 1 heklverkefni.

So far this year I have finished 3 knitting projects  and 1 crochet project.

 Fyrir það fyrsta prjónaði ég þessa peysu fyrir systurdóttur mína og gaf henni í 2ja ára afmælisgjöf.
 For the first I knitted this sweater for my niece and gave it to her for her 2 years birthday.

Uppskriftin er úr prjónablaðinu Ýr nr. 58 og prjónaði ég hana í stærð á milli 2ja og 4ra ára. Ég var áður búin að prjóna eins peysu fyrir systur hennar svo nú í fyrsta skiptið er ég búin að prjóna 2 eins peysur. 

The pattern is from Sandnes yarn and knitted with smart no 4611. The size is somewhere between 2 and 4 years. I already have a sweater knit as this one for her sister, so for the first time I've knit 2 sweaters of the same kind.

 Síðan dreif ég mig í að klára gatamunstraða peysu sem ég byrjaði á fyrir nokkrum árum síðan.
I then gave me time to finish this lace knitted sweater that I started a few years ago.

 Uppskriftin og garnið er frá Rowan.
 The pattern and yarn is from Rowan.

 Liturinn er eins og á myndinni fyrir neðan, fallega grænn en ekki litleysa eins og á þessari mynd. Ég ákvað samt að setja hana inn því hún sýnir munstrið vel. 
The color is as shown in the picture below, a beautiful green but not colorless like this photo. I still decided to put it in because it shows the pattern quite well.

Peysan er í retro stíl. Eini gallinn sem mér finnst vera er að þar sem uppskriftin er nokkuð gömul þá er peysan dáldið stutt. Ég þarf að finna út við hvað hún passar best því ég tími ekki að leggj henni . Hún er of flott til þess.
The sweater is in retro style. The only lack in it is that I think because the pattern is a bit old and therefore is the sweater rather short. I need to find out what goes best with my new sweater because I can´t keep it in the closet, it´s too nice for that.

Endurvinnsla

getur verið svo skemmtileg.

Recycling can be so much fun.

Undanfarið hef ég verið að sauma flísvettlinga úr afgangsefni og gömlum flísfötum. Í stroffið hef ég notað gamlar barnasokkabuxur.
Lately I've been sewing fleece mittens from leftover material and old fleece clothing. For the rib I've used old children tights.

Einnig dró ég fram peysu sem ég prjónaði fyrir mörgum árum síðan og var orðin vel slitin af notkun þegar börnin mín uxu upp úr henni. Ég hef samt ekki tímt að henda peysunni.
Also, I pulled out an old sweater that I knitted many years ago. It had become a well-worn (the hem was actually ruined) from use when my children grew out of it. Yet I did not  want to throw it away.

   
 Núna á ég frænku sem passar í peysuna og ákvað ég að annað hvort gæti ég lagað peysuna eða ég myndi henda henni.
 Now I have an aunt who fits in the sweater so I decided that either I would fix sweater or I throw it away.

 Lagfæringin tókst bara nokkuð vel og í rauninni létti yfir peysunni að fá bleika litinn til viðbóta.
The fixing looks pretty good and it it made the sweater more girly when the pink yarn was added to it. 

Heklið faldi líka allt slit svo peysan er orðin vel nothæf og verður fín í allt slark í vor og sumar.
The crocheted hem is also hiding all the ruinings so the sweater has become usable and will be fine in all kinds of out door games this spring and summer.

Desember

Ég ákvað að prjóna nokkrar jólagjafir. 

Undanfarið hef ég fylgst með Brittamis Design á facebook. Í sumar var sett upp klútaprjón og valdi ég nú í nóvember að prjóna ZZ klut fyrir systur mínar.

I decided to knit a few Christmas gifts.

Recently I have been following Brittamis Design on facebook. This summer there was a cloth knitting and in November I decided to knit the ZZ cloth for my sisters.

Ég prjónaði þrjá klúta úr þremur mismunandi litum  (2 litbrigði af bláum). Allir komu þeir vel út og er munstrið gullfallegt. Ég keypti sápur í Body shop og setti með klútunum og þá var komin jólagjöf.
I knitted three washing clothes from three different colors (two shades of blue). All worked out fine and the pattern is beautiful. I bought soaps from Body shop and put them with the cloths and gave my sisters as Christmas presents.

Í nóvember ákvað ég líka að prjóna peysu fyrir pabba minn í jólagjöf. Uppskriftin er úr bókinni "Prjónað úr íslenskri ull" og er hún prjónuð úr léttlopa. Ég er reyndar hrifnari af plötulopanum en ákvað að fylgja uppskriftinni. 
In November, I decided also to knit a sweater for my dad for Christmas. The pattern is from the book "Prjónað úr íslenskri ull" and is knit from light wool. Actually I do like plötulopi better but decided to follow the pattern.

Peysan er mjög fallegt og litatónarnir renna mjög vel saman. Mitt mat er að þetta er fallega hönnuð peysa.
The sweater is very beautiful and the color tones flow very well together. My assumption is that this is a beautifully designed sweater.

Þessa peysu prjónaði ég handa þriggja ára frænku minni og gaf í jólagjög. Uppskriftin er fengin úr prjónablaðinu Ýr nr. 58 og er hún prjónuð úr smart.
This sweater I knitted for my three year old aunt and gave as Christmas present. The pattern is from "Prjónablaðið Ýr" no 58 and I made it from Smart from Sandnes yarn.

Uppskriftin er ágæt en ég keypti garn fyrir stærð 4 ára og það var of lítið magn sem var gefið upp. Þegar ég sá að mig vantaði garn var of seint að fá í dokku í sama litanúmeri svo ég varð að breyta til í hálsmálinu. Ég endaði á að kaupa garn sem var líkt í lit en fíngerðara og angórugarn og setti ég þræðina saman og prjónaði hálsmálið úr þeim. 
The pattern is ok, but I bought yarn for size 4 years and it was not enough for the size. When I saw that I needed more yarn was it was too late to get one in the same color code, so I had to make some changes in the neckline. I ended up buying a yarn that was similar in color and some fluffy yarn and knitted the neckline with both of those threads.

Að lokum fékk mamma mín peysuna hér fyrir neðan í jólagjöf. Hana var ég búin að prjóna í sumar. 

At last I made the sweater below for my mom as Christmas present. I knitted it last summer so it was just waiting to be handed over.
