New project in a new year.

Strákurinn minn bað mig um daginn að prjóna nýja peysu handa sér. Hver getur sagt nei við slíkri beiðni? Ekki ég.
My boy came to me the other day and asked me to knit a sweater for him. Who can say no to such request? Not me.

Við völdum peysu úr prjónablaðinu Ýr og er mynd af henni hér fyrir ofan. Ekki skemmir fyrir að frændi okkar er módelið á myndinni.
We picked sweater from Icelandic knitting magazine and the picture of it is here above. The designer is Icelandic and has done a fantastic job on this sweater. Icing on the cake is that my cousin is the model in the picture.

Því var stormað af stað og garnið keypt í peysuna í dag og svo byrjaði ég að prjóna hana núna í kvöld. Sonurinn bað um að ég yrði ekki í nokkra mánuði að prjóna peysuna (eins og er allt of algengt hjá mér því ég er með allt of mikið í gangi í einu) og ég í stærlæti mínu sagði að ég gæti verið svona 2 vikur að prjóna hana. Jamm!
So to the shop I stormed today and bought the yarn for the sweater and started knitting it tonight. My son asked if it would take me few months to knit it (as is all to common with me because I always have too much knitting going on at once) and I, with out thinking, told him that I could be like 2 weeks to knit it. Yup!
